{"id":159,"date":"2015-01-15T23:33:47","date_gmt":"2015-01-15T23:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crunchymonkeygranola.com\/?p=159"},"modified":"2017-01-23T20:03:59","modified_gmt":"2017-01-23T20:03:59","slug":"recipes-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crunchymonkeygranola.com\/?p=159","title":{"rendered":"Recipes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Crunchy Flapjacks<\/h1>\n<h3>Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>1\u00bd cups\u00a0 all-purpose flour [or 1c all-purpose and \u00bdc whole wheat flour]<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp\u00a0 brown sugar or palm sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0Tbsp\u00a0 white granulated sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd tsp\u00a0 baking powder<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp\u00a0 baking soda<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp\u00a0 sea salt<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd cups\u00a0 Crunchy Monkey granola<\/li>\n<li>2\u00a0 medium eggs<\/li>\n<li>2\u00bd cups\u00a0 buttermilk (buttermilk substitute:\u00a0 add 2T + 1t lemon juice or white vinegar to whole milk, let stand for 15 mins. at room temperature)<\/li>\n<li>3 Tbsp\u00a0 melted unsalted butter<\/li>\n<li>Olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Thinly-sliced Thai bananas or other fruit<\/li>\n<li>Honey, jam or other topping<\/li>\n<li>[Optional:\u00a0 add \u00bc tsp powdered cinnamon]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u00a0Method<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Add all dry ingredients to a mixing bowl and blend together.<\/li>\n<li>In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the buttermilk.<\/li>\n<li>Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix gently until blended.<\/li>\n<li>Gently mix in the melted butter.<\/li>\n<li>Add a bit of olive oil to a pre-heated non-stick pan.
